March 28 1975

Thirty nine years in nine days

since I got lost in blue

green eyes

with flecks of gold like sun’s rays

now all I miss is you

good byes

At night I kiss your picture

and with a cracking voice

tears fell

my broken heart is now a fixture

seems I had no choice

years tell

March 28th is looming

seared into my brain

I gave

a shamrock and it’s blooming

a rock bearing your name

our grave.

  1. Nostalgic and beautiful! This poem reads so sad and draws a picture of lost love. I really loved your title and the way you wrote this form is creative yet personal to you! I enjoyed reading this! Thanks for your participation!
