Rickety Piers and Mike.

You left
and the world stood dark
Shades of gray and monotony
Cold winds
blow small boats
Against rickety piers
You left
and took color
and light
Leaving me to wait
on rickety piers
Small boats
banging out dirges
But today there was red
and blue and light
Breezes gently blowing
The sun warms my face
And from rickety piers
I see tomorrow.
