HOLE IN THE KNEE

He said,” Our Love’s
grown jaggedy
worn out
and raggedy
Thread bare
last pair
hole in the knee
Our Love-
doesn’t fit anymore
The colors
aren’t bright like before
All the pins
and all the patches
can’t save ‘we’..”
I said, “I tried to brave it
it was all
and I gave it
My fingers bear witness
to all the stitches
meant to save it.”
Happy to sad
Good to bad
Our love story is a
riches to rags.
Our love story is a
riches to rags.
