BLACK MASS

You’re a hard place to fall

with your jagged edges and your shards of glass

Your arms are no safe harbor

and your  green eyes are  High  Black Mass

I can’t count the times I rescued you

only to find I’m pushed out on your ledge

You’re a hard place to fall

As I  dust my broken heart off

the cold wind blows away my pledge.
